Commercial Gas Engineer required to join a class leading Boiler Manufacturer, based in the Northampton and surrounding area. Our client has been established for 60+ years and is a leading Manufacturer of Steam and Electrical Boilers covering the UK and Europe. Due to a member of staff retiring and ongoing contract awards, they are now looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer who ideally has a background with Steam Boilers in an Industrial environment, preferably with some Electrical and controls capabilities.
Type of sites include a number of industrial sites such as Hospitals, Large Commercial Buildings, Pharmaceutical and food manufacturers.
Location: The majority of the work will be in the surrounding Northampton area, all generally within an hour's travel of the Engineer's base.
Requirements:
- Experienced Commercial Gas Engineer / Industrial ideally with some Steam Boiler background having worked in similar environments.
- Experience in fault finding, strip downs, re-builds, maintenance and commissioning of Boiler systems to 1.5Mw.
- Some familiarity with manufacturers such as Weishaupt, Cochrane, Byworth etc beneficial although full training will be offered on own brand.
- GAS SAFE - CODNCO1 / COCN1, CORT1, CIGA, ICPN1, TCP1, CONGLP1PD, BMP1CDGA.
- Additional experience with Water heaters, Steam (perhaps to have BOAS), some experience with Controls and Electrical qualifications would be beneficial.
- UK Driving license.
Salary and Benefits:
- Basic salary around £47k plus £2k after probation.
- Overtime available at time and a half / double time.
- Door to Door travel is paid.
- No On Call rota.
- 25 days holiday, rising with term of service, plus statutory 8 bank holidays.
- Christmas Shut down (company closes between Christmas and New Year).
- 3% employee, 7% pension contribution from company.
