Are you a senior operational leader with a proven track record in Facilities Management, Hard Services or Building Services? We are seeking an experienced London Regional Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of high-profile contracts throughout London. This is a key senior management position responsible for the operational, commercial and strategic performance of multiple contracts. The successful London Regional Operations Manager will lead a team of four Operational Contracts Managers and their engineering teams, ensuring exceptional service delivery, strong client relationships and sustainable business growth.

Working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders, the London Regional Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping operational strategy, driving commercial success and developing high-performing teams across the region.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional operations role. As London Regional Operations Manager, you will have responsibility for leading multiple hard services contracts, developing operational strategy and ensuring consistent performance across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties. You will provide leadership to four Operational Contracts Managers, supporting them in delivering engineering excellence, contract compliance, financial performance and client satisfaction. The role offers significant autonomy and influence, making it ideal for a commercially focused leader looking to make a measurable impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of Hard FM, Building Services and Technical Services contracts.
  • Directly manage and mentor four Operational Contracts Managers.
  • Lead large multi-disciplinary engineering teams across multiple locations.
  • Drive operational excellence, contract compliance and service delivery performance.
  • Take ownership of regional P&L performance, budgets and commercial outcomes.
  • Develop and implement regional business plans and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client stakeholders.
  • Support contract retention, growth opportunities and mobilisation projects.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, statutory and contractual requirements.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support wider business objectives and growth strategies.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Regional Operations Manager, Area Manager, Senior Operations Manager, Regional Director or similar leadership position.
  • Strong background within Facilities Management, Hard FM, Building Services, Engineering Services or Technical Services.
  • Experience managing multiple maintenance contracts across geographically dispersed locations.
  • Demonstrable success managing Operational Contracts Managers and engineering teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing multi-million-pound P&L accounts.
  • Experience delivering performance improvements across large operational portfolios.
  • Excellent client-facing skills with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people development capabilities.
  • Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or Building Services background desirable.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
