The Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer to join our service team, maintaining and repairing vehicle wash equipment across the Central Belt of Scotland region (within a 50-mile radius of Falkirk). You will be the technical expert customers rely on to keep their equipment performing at its best. This is a hands-on, field-based role where you will diagnose faults, carry out repairs, complete installations, and deliver high-quality service with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on a full range of vehicle wash systems.
- Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and deliver first-time fixes wherever possible.
- Install and commission new equipment to company standards.
- Perform chemical top-ups and complete all required service documentation.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal support teams.
- Follow all company procedures and health & safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills, backed by hands-on experience.
- Confident working independently and delivering high standards.
- Professional and customer-focused approach — you’re the face of the business on-site.
- Comfortable using tablets and customer portals for job logging and updates.
Desirable
- Mechanical/electrical engineering qualification. SVQ etc.
- Experience working with vehicle wash or similar automated equipment.
