The Electrical Shift Engineer – Continental Shift Hours

A rewarding shift pattern that gives you 2 weekends off a month, Continental Rotating 12-hour Shift Days and Nights. 07:00 – 19:00 / 19:00 – 07:00 4 days on, 6 off, 4 nights on, 4 days off, 3 days on 3 nights on, 4 days off, etc. If you then factor in holiday to your rota you can really achieve the ultimate in work life balance.

High Earning Potential

We have calculated that just by covering the holidays of your opposite shift colleague you can guarantee a minimum of £8,500 in overtime for starters, and you know that there will be much more than that on top.

Responsibilities of the Electrical Shift Engineer:

  • Planned Preventative Maintenance of all HVAC plant
  • Very high-tech modern building
  • Executing Electrical and Electrical PPM’s
  • Ensuring that all statutory building compliance is upheld
  • Investigate and report on issues with the BMS systems.
  • Carry out daily checks on plant and equipment and report issues back to management.
  • Attend call outs relating to emergency breakdowns on other buildings on the contract when required.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels and disciplines due to being a very customer facing role.

About You as an Electrical Shift Engineer:

  • Qualified but experienced in building services maintenance
  • Electrical OR Electrical skills
  • Experience with SHIFT WORK
  • Minor electrical repairs experience
  • Experienced in work on large scale building services applications.
  • Knowledge of BMS systems advantageous

There is a large engineering and facilities team on site and you would be a key part of the shift team, providing support to the technical service team covering the plant for the landlord services.
