Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with strong burner/boiler skills looking to join a well-established and specialist combustion services company? We are recruiting for a leading company in the combustion and burner services industry, known for their exceptional reputation and long-standing presence in the market. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their team with an additional Combustion Gas / Burner Engineer.
The Role:
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for service, maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning of industrial and commercial gas & oil-fired systems, including dual fuel and forced draught systems. Experience with major burner manufacturers is beneficial – including Nu-way, Saacke, Weishaupt, Ecoflame, Dunphy, Clyde, and Riello.
Key responsibilities include:
- Working on a variety of commercial burner and boiler systems
- Carrying out diagnostics, fault-finding and commissioning
- Occasional overtime and participation in a 1 in 12 on-call rota
- Providing excellent customer service on-site
Job Finish Policy: Engineers often finish mid-afternoon when starting early. You won’t be expected to remain on-site unnecessarily.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience with commercial burners and boilers
- Solid knowledge of gas and oil systems, including dual fuel
- Good fault-finding and commissioning skills
- Some understanding of BMS controls is a bonus
- Valid ACS qualifications (CODNCO1/COCN1 + relevant elements)
- Clean UK driving licence preferred
- Presentable, customer-focused and motivated
