Commercial Gas Engineer – Boiler Manufacturer Location: London & Home Counties (field-based) Salary: £50– £55,000 + overtime + door-to-door travel + vehicle + benefits The Opportunity We’re recruiting an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer on behalf of a leading boiler manufacturer, covering London and the Home Counties. This is a hands-on service and breakdown role working across commercial and industrial gas boilers, burners, and modern control systems. You’ll be responsible for reactive repairs, planned maintenance, commissioning, and performance optimisation. This role suits an engineer with solid combustion experience, a good understanding of controls, and the confidence to deliver high standards independently. Key Responsibilities * Service, maintain and repair commercial and industrial gas boilers, burners, and controls. * Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly and safely. * Conduct combustion analysis, tuning, and performance adjustments. * Install, upgrade, and commission boiler and burner systems. * Provide clear technical support and professional customer service on-site. * Take part in a 1-in-8 call-out rota (£20/day standby allowance, with callouts paid at overtime rates). What You’ll Bring * Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer within service and breakdown. * Valid Commercial Gas Safe qualifications. * Burner and control system experience (essential for higher salary band). * Industry qualifications such as HND/ONC, NVQ, or City & Guilds. * Confident with electrical fault-finding and boiler control logic (18th Edition desirable). * Good understanding of combustion principles and safety compliance. * Self-motivated, professional, and capable of managing your own workload. * Full, clean UK driving licence. What’s On Offer * Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 depending on experience * Overtime: Paid at enhanced rates. * Travel: Door-to-door pay – you’re paid from the moment you leave home. * Call-out: 1-in-8 rota with £20/day standby payment. * Vehicle: Company car with fuel card. * Equipment: Company credit card, mobile phone, and laptop. * Training: Full product and manufacturer training provided. * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Death in Service 2 x annual salary * Private Healthcare after 1 year * Benefits: Pension scheme and employee perks package.
