Commercial Gas Engineer required to join an established company to £52k + overtime and Benefits, to cover North East London and parts of Essex.
Our client has been trading for nearly 60 years and specialise in FM / Building Services for Commercial and Residential properties. Due to contract awards and expansion they are now seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their team based out of their office in Essex.
Job Purpose:
As the Commercial Gas Engineer you will be required to maintain services by delivering planned and reactive maintenance to an agreed programme, budget and quality within the company s operational targets. We work mainly in places such as Town Hall, associated offices, schools and libraries therefore your ability to deliver great customer service to a diverse client base, is as important to us as your technical skills.
To carry out inspections, diagnose faults, fit parts and carry out repairs.
Testing and commissioning of Commercial Boilers and associated equipment.
To undertake gas servicing, repairs and maintenance.
To carry out other maintenance, repairs and remedial works as directed.
Call out duties via rota
To complete job sheets for every task, daily log sheets and via PDA.
To comply with safe working practices ensuring the safety of the workforce and public is maintained at all times.
To comply with the company s Health & Safety policy at all times and follow all related safe systems of work. Attend safety meetings, training and briefings as may be required.
Location
Generally North East London to Essex border, Walthamstow / Chingford as a guide.
Experience required
- Minimum 5 years Relevant experience of working in the commercial gas industry
- Knowledge of Plumbing & Commercial Gas Engineering
- Repairs / Servicing / Maintenance and Installation
- Experience as a suitably qualified heating/gas service engineer working in commercial and/or domestic premises
- A working knowledge of heating distribution and ventilation system is essential, as the majority of works will be within plant rooms with all associated equipment.
- Experience with routine maintenance of associated plant items such as pumps, heat changers, pressure vessels and valves.
- Ability to use a PDA device
- Call our rota 1 in every 6 weeks
Qualifications required:
- CODNCO1 / COCN1 Core Commercial Gas Safety ESSENTIAL
- CORT1, CIGA1, ICPN1, CDGA1, TPCP1A
- CCN1, CENWAT, CEN1, HTR1, CPA1, CKR1, WAT1, UDHW Unvented Domestic Hot Water
- Valid full UK driving licence
- DBS Check required.

- TPCP1 Testing & Purging
Salary / Benefits Package
- Competitive Salary dependent on experience to £52k, based on a 40 hr week.
