Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer to cover Berkshire / Hertfordshire. £42k+ plus vehicle, overtime and great benefits. Our client is a leading technical services provider who specialises in high profile commercial buildings nationwide. Due to contract awards and growth, they are looking for a Mobile Electrical / Building Services Engineer to cover a number of sites in the Berkshire / Hertfordshire region.

Role:

  • Planned maintenance on electrical / building services plant, undertaking reactives, PPM's and occasional installation works.
  • Conduct site walk rounds and complete reports.
  • Checking UPS systems.
  • Testing fire alarms.
  • Checking / repairing lighting / lamps / ballasts / LEDs etc.
  • Installing new boards / motors etc.
  • Minor alterations to BMS set points.
  • General building services to HVAC / electrical plant.

Location: As the Mobile Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be covering a number of high-end commercial buildings in the Bracknell, Basingstoke and Chippenham area. Van provided with fuel card. There will be very occasional trips to a site in Birmingham and Stevenage but this is very rare. You will be working on 1 site per day and not expected to travel to multiple sites.

Team: Current team comprises of 1 Electrical Working Supervisor, 1 Air Conditioning Engineer and 1 Fabric Engineer.

Experience required:

  • Electrical building services maintenance background.
  • Strong electrical and building services maintenance knowledge.
  • Electrical NVQ City & Guilds Level 2 / 3 qualified along with 18th Edition.
  • Inspection & Testing 2391 or equivalent beneficial but not essential.
  • Understanding of electrical / HVAC plant maintenance in a commercial environment (not domestic).
  • Must be smart and presentable, have excellent communication skills and be client facing as you will be interacting with the client on site on a daily basis.
  • Ideal candidate will live around the Berkshire / Hertfordshire region.

Salary / benefits:

  • Competitive salary £42k+ based on a 40hr working week.
  • Good overtime rates including time & half and double time.
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
  • On call and stand by allowances.
  • Minimum 4 hours paid when called out at enhanced rate.
  • Pension (3% employee 6% company).
  • Van with fuel card and private use.
  • Ongoing development and training plan.
