Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations. The Sauber Group\’s Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. Audi\’s Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. We have recently opened Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations with support from the UK.

The position for the Audi F1 Project is at Sauber in Hinwil (Switzerland).
Who we\’re looking for
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) plays a strong strategic and hands-on role in aligning the people’s strategy with the high-performance objectives of our team. This role primarily supports our technical team, ensuring the team has the right talent, culture, and capabilities to compete at the highest level. The HRBP partners closely with leadership and technical team members based in Switzerland (and UK) to build a strong world-class, target-oriented, collaborative, and performance-driven workforce.
Your mission
- Act as the primary point of contact for leaders in our various departments within the framework of the employee life cycle.
- Translate our objectives and strategies into effective people strategies and support the people managers in translating them into an operational level.
- Drive workforce planning aligned with race calendar and development cycles.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract top engineering, technical, and operations talent globally.
- Liaise closely with the Employee Experience frameworks tailored to high-pressure motorsport environments and drive learning & development initiatives to ensure retention of our specialized talents.
- Close cooperation and exchange with all areas within the HR department, with a focus on ensuring top-quality HR service for the entire team.
- Coach leaders to maximize individual and team performance under tight deadlines.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to employees, handling sensitive issues with discretion and speed.
- Foster a high-performance culture with emphasis on collaboration, resilience, and well-being.
- Design and execute engagement initiatives that sustain morale during long race seasons.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws in multiple jurisdictions (Swiss employment laws, trackside travel and remote locations).
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives (cultural program, performance management, career development, reworking of guidelines and frameworks, recruitment, etc.) as part of a strong and experienced HRBP team.
- Provide HR support for work permits and international travel.
- Use HR data to inform decisions on team structure and performance.
Your profile
- Strong entrepreneurial thinking with understanding of motorsport/F1 dynamics (race operations, technical development, production, F1 cost cap).
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field.
- Several years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a Business Partner role.
- Experience in motorsport, elite sport, automotive, or high-tech engineering environments are highly advantageous.
- The ability to work under extreme pressure while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism and adherence to deadlines.
- Effective communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with shift-based or travel-intensive workforce management.
- Excellent understanding of Swiss labour law
- Proficiency in digital HR tools (SAP as a preference) and data-driven decision-making.
- Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus.
