Welcome to the Audi F1 Project.
Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations. The Sauber Group\'s Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. Audi\'s Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. We have recently opened Sauber Motorsport Technology Center in the UK. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations with support from the UK.
We are now opening applications for our inaugural Graduate Programme. In your graduate role, you will contribute directly to live projects, gaining hands-on experience from day one.

Your mission

As a graduate member of the CFD Methodology team, you play a key role in advancing the accuracy and efficiency of CFD processes across the aero department. You collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the Correlation Group and Aerodynamic Development, to improve predictive capabilities. Your responsibilities include developing state-of-the-art CFD codes and workflows, and contributing to initiatives that make CFD tools accessible throughout the department. You will be part of a team focused on advancing CFD capabilities, with access to modern tools and the chance to shape how simulation supports aerodynamic performance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of CFD processes.
  • Support initiatives aimed at making CFD tools accessible across the aero department.
  • Develop and refine physical modelling approaches to enhance prediction accuracy.
  • Optimise CFD workflows to reduce turnaround time.
  • Develop innovative tools and methods to uncover insights from our data.

Your profile

Required Qualifications

  • MSc in Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a strong focus on Computational Fluid Dynamics.
  • Familiarity with OpenFOAM, C++, Python, and Linux environments.
  • Interest in applying Machine Learning and AI to CFD is advantageous.
