We have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Designer to join our expanding team here at Stair Formwork. The ideal candidate will work alongside the Design lead and assist in all aspects of the design process, from producing full drawings to actioning revisions on existing designs and taking client meetings. Our office is a fast-paced environment and the ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure and have good organisational skills. There are many opportunities to grow and progress within the company for the right person as well as a market leading salary. The role is aimed at a more junior position, however – more experience within the industry is welcome and will be considered. We work 8am-4pm Monday to Friday. The role is full-time office based at our factory in Coates, Whittlesey. Who we are: Stair Formwork is a small fabrication company based on the outskirts of Whittlesey, Peterborough. We specialise in the fabrication of lightweight steel Formwork and Balustrades for the Construction industry. We are a rapidly expanding team providing our products to all over the UK and Ireland. Key Responsibilities: Working closely within the Design team, you will aid smooth running of the design/fabrication process. Producing/checking the various documents required for design. Communicating with the factory team to ensure consistency and be able to answer any potential queries regarding Design/Production. Perform regular quality checks on designs/drawings to uphold standards of excellence. Required Experience Experience with AutoCAD is essential . Knowledge of 3D software (Revit/Inventor) is desirable. Experience with Microsoft Excel is also essential . Experience within the Construction industry is desirable. (full training will be provided) Genuine interest within Design and Manufacture is encouraged. Relevant Construction Qualifications/Degree Desirable (HNC/HND/Higher). Good team player attitude, good time management. Able to work well under pressure, good decision-making ability. Proficient technical, creative, written and verbal communication skills.
