Are you a commercially minded HR professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence a growing business?

I'm partnering with an ambitious and expanding construction group to recruit a Senior HR Advisor to join their centralised HR function.

Supporting four businesses within the group, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation at a pivotal stage in its journey.

With significant growth plans, including acquisitions and business integration projects, the HR team is playing a key role in shaping the future of the organisation.

This role offers a blend of operational HR and project work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, taking ownership, and working closely with stakeholders across a business.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll be part of a highly visible and respected HR team that has built strong relationships throughout the organisation and is trusted to support strategic business objectives.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional HR advisory role.

Alongside providing day-to-day HR support, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in a range of exciting projects linked to business growth, acquisitions, integration activity, payroll harmonisation, contract reviews and employee benefits alignment.

The successful candidate will support multiple businesses across the group, gaining exposure to a broad range of HR challenges and helping drive consistency, compliance and best practice across the wider organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management cases.
  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process for a variety of roles across the group.
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters and associated employment documentation.
  • Support monthly payroll preparation and associated HR administration.
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives and people-focused activities.
  • Maintain and develop HR policies and procedures.
  • Support organisational change and business transformation projects.
  • Contribute to acquisition and integration activity as the group expands.
  • Ensure employee records and HR systems are accurately maintained.
  • Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across all four businesses.

About You

I'm looking for an experienced HR generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational HR with project work.

You'll ideally have

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor or Senior HR Advisor position.
  • Strong employee relations experience and knowledge of UK employment legislation.
  • Proven ability to extract critical HR data for Board
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to work autonomously and take ownership of activities and projects.
  • Ambition to develop your career within a growing organisation.

Industry experience is not essential. What's more important is your ability to build relationships, solve problems and operate as a trusted HR partner.

What's on Offer?

  • Hybrid working (2 days working from home following probation).
  • Discretionary annual bonus.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Pension scheme.
  • 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Summer and Christmas shutdown.
  • A supportive, people-first culture.
  • Genuine opportunities for career development as the group continues to grow.

Why Apply?

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a business with ambitious plans and be part of an HR team that is central to that journey.

You'll gain exposure to exciting group-wide projects, work alongside strong business leaders and have the opportunity to make a real impact during a period of significant growth and change.
