Overview: SmartAssets is on the lookout for an experienced, pragmatic Engineering Manager (Full Stack) to lead day to day product delivery. In this role, you will sit over the engineering team, manage stakeholders, and raise the quality bar while keeping pace high. You will be accountable for shipping in small batches with fast feedback, so we learn quickly and deliver commercial value without drama.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end to end delivery of workflow heavy product features (creative review, approvals, permissions, auditability).
- Line manage and coach engineers: set expectations, give feedback, unblock progress, and raise the baseline of the team.
- Own engineering quality: code review standards, pragmatic testing strategy, CI hygiene, and clear definition of done.
- Partner with Product and Delivery Ops to translate PRDs into shippable increments with clear acceptance criteria and trade-offs.
- Make fast, well reasoned technical calls that protect platform integrity without slowing delivery.
- Coordinate dependencies across functions and communicate delivery reality clearly: options, risks, and commercial impact.
