SAP Data Migration Consultant

Robert Half Technology are assisting a UK market leading financial services organisation to recruit a SAP Data Migration Consultant on an initial 6-12 month contract basis.

Role

• The SAP Data Migration Consultant will lead end-to-end data migration efforts for SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations.
• Utilise SAP Data Migration Cockpit for data transformation, extraction, and load activities.
• Work with legacy data sources, including SQL databases, to extract and cleanse data before migration.
• Develop and implement BADIs (Business Add-Ins) to enhance migration processes.
• Design data migration strategies, including mapping, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Work with ABAP development to create custom objects and enhance existing SAP functionalities.
• Collaborate with functional teams to ensure seamless integration of migrated data.
• Perform data quality checks, error resolution, and testing of migrated data in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Document migration processes, configurations, and best practices.

Profile

• The SAP Data Migration Consultant will have 5+ years of experience in SAP data migration, preferably with S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Expertise in SAP Data Migration Cockpit and data load tools.
• Strong background in handling legacy data, including SQL-based extractions.
• Experience with BADI (Business Add-Ins) for customisation and enhancements.
• Knowledge of data modelling and migration design best practices.
• Hands-on ABAP development experience, including debugging and enhancements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot migration issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• SAP S/4HANA Certification in Data Migration or relevant modules.
• Experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools for SAP data migration.
• Knowledge of SAP LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit).
