Robert Half are delighted to be supporting an established accountancy practice in East Bath on the recruitment of an Accountant to join the team. We are looking for a part or fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with proven experience working in a small to medium sized accountancy practice, looking for a genuine career enhancing opportunity to develop and grow further. Our client is predominantly office based, with free parking available. We can consider candidates who are looking on both a full time and part time basis.
Responsibilities of the Accountant will include but not be limited to:
- Prepare and manage accounts, tax and VAT returns for clients, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.
- Oversee resource allocation, workflows, and account management, building trusted client relationships.
- Lead and motivate the team to deliver accurate work, maintain controls over progress and addressing issues.
- Ensure prompt billing and debtor collection.
- Recommend and implement system improvements.
- Ad hoc project work as required by the wider team.
Your Profile:
- Part or fully ACCA or ACA qualified.
- Proven experience working in a similar position within a small to medium sized accountancy practice.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
In return, the successful candidate can expect a salary of between £45-60k dependant on experience plus benefits including private medical, bonus scheme, pension, 25 days holiday and more.
