General Factory Operative Stagecraft

FACTORY OPERATIVE

Due to an increase in production demands we are looking to recruit a Factory Operative to assist our existing team at our factory in Newtown, Powys.

Experience

Experience within a manufacturing and assembly environment using timber-based materials would be beneficial along with knowledge of H&S and good housekeeping practices.

Essential skills

Essential skills include: Manual dexterity, working with tools, working to deadlines, ability to follow instructions, work alone or as part of a team, good verbal communication, attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Assemble components according to specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and address any issues.
• Monitor production processes and report any discrepancies or malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

The position is initially temporary but could lead to a full-time position based on the current workload and candidate suitability.

Hours: 6:45am-5pm Monday-Thursday (4 day week)

Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (Full time contract for the right candidate after probationary period)

Company information: Stagecraft Display Ltd manufacture a wide range of timber based products, retail display systems and production of timber frame panels for the housing industry and modular building manufacture.

Pay: From £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 39 per week
