Stagecoach is recruiting a Duty Manager to join its Inverness depot, supporting day to day operations and leading frontline teams to deliver safe, reliable bus services. This role is suited to someone with management experience who is confident leading people, handling operational challenges, and maintaining high standards in a busy transport environment.
As Duty Manager, you will lead and support frontline colleagues, creating an inclusive and respectful working environment. You will oversee performance management, coaching, and training, working closely with internal teams to ensure staff have the skills and support they need. You will manage employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary procedures, in a fair and consistent manner. You will take responsibility for daily depot operations, ensuring service reliability, efficiency, and safety at all times. You will liaise with external stakeholders, including local authorities and other partners, to support service delivery and positive public relations.
This is a permanent, full time role based at the Stagecoach depot in Inverness.
You should have previous management or supervisory experience, ideally within a transport or operational environment, although this is not essential. You should have strong leadership skills, good planning and organisational ability, and confidence working with people and processes. Knowledge of employment legislation and a strong focus on safety and customer service are important for this role.
