Looking for a hands-on engineering role where your skills keep the city moving? We’re on the lookout for a Semi-Skilled Mechanic / Service Tech to join our close-knit team at Stagecoach Perth. You'll play a vital role in keeping our modern, low-emission fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community. Previous mechanical experience is preferred; however, all training will be provided through Stagecoach to help you achieve the qualifications you need!
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining and servicing buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs
- Reporting defects and completing all work safely and in line with policies
- Collaborating with workshop colleagues and supporting junior team members
What we’re looking for:
- Previous hands-on experience servicing and repairing vehicles would be preferable, but not necessary. All training will be provided through Stagecoach
- Confidence in using diagnostic tools and service manuals
- A proactive, safety-first approach
- A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- A full UK driving licence is essential in the role
