Salary £13.02 per hour. Backshift Fueller / Shunter. Location: Middleton Depot. At Stagecoach Manchester, we operate recognisable and reliable bus services across Manchester, and we’re looking for people with the right attitude and willingness to learn, to join our growing team at this exciting time. We are looking for a depot shunter/cleaner to fuel, clean and park our buses, and perform other maintenance tasks within the depot.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll be a key member of our staff maintaining and repairing our fleet of Alexander-Dennis, Volvo and Optare models.
  • Fuelling, washing and safe parking of our fleet.
  • Accurately completing reports of coolant/oil/fuel issues.
  • Flexibility to provide relief cover to the backshift shunters in other Aberdeenshire depots as and when necessary.
  • Full compliance with Stagecoach group health and safety procedures.

Hours

Hours of work will be 38 hours per week, working on a 5 over 7 backshift pattern, 6pm-2am, with overtime opportunity.

Qualifications

  • Flexible to the requirements of the business and committed, as well as a positive work ethic.
  • Willingness to take pride in your role and be satisfied with a good day’s work.
  • Full car licence.
  • PSV licence desirable, and upon satisfactory completion of a probationary period the successful candidate will be considered for their PSV licence by the company.
