Property Surveyor
Stockport – 3 days in office
Full time position
£60,000 per annum plus car allowance
We’re looking for an enthusiastic property professional at Senior Surveyor level to work for the Central Operations Support Director and day to day manage the portfolio and the relationships with the relevant advisors, whilst working with the operational Stagecoach teams on creating long-term value from the property portfolio.
This role will play a pivotal part in managing and instructing the property, legal (English and Scottish Law) and other advisors such as building surveyors and experts on specialist matters.
You’ll be the link between the property advisors and the operational Stagecoach teams to provide excellent and well-informed property management internally when considering instructions and advice provided by the external advisors.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing and instructing the property advisors, legal (English and Scottish Law) and other advisors such as building surveyors and experts on specialist matters e.g. mobile phone masts, advertising assets.
- Functioning as the link between property advisors and the operational Stagecoach teams to provide excellent and well-informed property management internally and guidance when considering instructions and advice provided by the external advisors
- Collaborating with the senior team and agreeing objectives and approach. Projects will usually relate to significant property acquisitions and disposals as well as exploiting development opportunities on existing freehold sites
- Conducting smaller rent reviews, lease renewals and lease acquisitions
- Working across the organisation resolving the challenges of the estate with the adoption of new low carbon technologies, including installation of EV charging infrastructure and on site energy generation or storage
- Working with the property advisors to modernise the property database

- A knowledge of matters important to a major occupier of predominantly industrial style premises to include agency, landlord & tenant, rating and dilapidations.
