IT Vendor Performance Manager / Consultant for enterprise organisation operating a multi-vendor technology delivery model, is looking for an experienced consultant to build a consistent framework for measuring and reporting on strategic vendor performance. The role will design the plans, processes and reporting structures needed to give technology leadership a single, consolidated view of how major delivery partners and other tier-1 SIs are performing against contracted commitments, delivery quality and roadmap alignment. This is a build role rather than a run role: the consultant will stand up the framework, prove it works and hand over a repeatable process, not simply operate an existing one.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement an IT vendor performance management framework covering all strategic technology partners
  • Define a standard set of KPIs and metrics (delivery quality, SLA adherence, cost, throughput, roadmap alignment, resourcing, risk) applied consistently across vendors
  • Build processes to aggregate data from multiple sources, including Jira, roadmap/delivery tooling, contractual reporting and finance, into a single performance view
  • Establish governance cadence and reporting structures for CxO-level review (scorecards, dashboards, QBRs)
  • Work with vendor management, procurement and delivery leads to align metrics with contractual SLAs and KPIs
  • Partner directly with vendor account leads at SIs to agree data provision and reporting standards
  • Identify gaps in current tracking and recommend tooling or process improvements
  • Present findings and recommendations to the CTO and senior stakeholders

Deliverables

  • Vendor performance framework and methodology document
  • Standardised KPI/metric set and data collection process
  • Reporting templates and dashboards (roadmap view, delivery view, risk view)
  • Governance cadence and RACI for ongoing operation

Experience Required

  • Proven track record designing vendor or supplier performance frameworks within large, complex enterprise environments
  • Direct experience managing or governing relationships with tier-1 SIs
  • Strong data aggregation and reporting background, ideally spanning Jira, roadmap tools (e.g. Aha!, Jira Align, ServiceNow) and BI/reporting tools
  • Comfortable and credible operating at CxO level, translating operational detail into executive-level insight
  • Background in technology delivery governance, PMO, vendor management or IT strategy consulting
  • Experience within large-scale or regulated organisations (financial services, telecoms, retail or similar) advantageous

Desirable

  • Prior consulting background (Big 4 or boutique strategy/technology consultancy)
  • Familiarity with vendor scorecarding and SLA governance frameworks
  • Experience standing up a PMO or governance function from scratch

Contract role, outside IR35, initial 3-6 months assignment, remote first, expect 1-2 days week onsite in West London.
