Location: Staines / West London (Hybrid – 2 days on-site)

Start: Jan 26 | Duration: 3-month initial, likely extensions to end of 2026

We’re looking for an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with SRE skills to join a busy BAU operations team supporting mission‑critical platforms in a fast‑paced, production‑focused environment. You’ll keep platforms stable, secure and performant, while continually improving automation, observability and reliability across AWS.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting & enhancing AWS‑based production platforms in a BAU/SRE capacity
  • Operating & optimising containerised workloads with AWS ECS & Kubernetes (K8s/EKS)
  • Owning Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
  • Building, maintaining & troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub‑based workflows)
  • Owning monitoring, logging & alerting using Grafana (+ Prometheus / CloudWatch, etc.)
  • Participating in incident management, RCA & post‑incident reviews
  • Contributing to security, backup, DR and cost optimisation best practices on AWS
  • Collaborating closely with developers, QA and stakeholders to ensure smooth releases
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong recent experience as a DevOps Engineer / SRE in production AWS environments
  • Hands‑on with: AWS ECS, Terraform (IaC), Ansible and/or Puppet, Grafana (Prometheus, Loki, CloudWatch a plus), GitHub (Actions or other CI/CD around GitHub)
  • Solid Linux, networking & security fundamentals
  • Experience supporting 24/7 production systems
  • Strong understanding of SRE principles
  • Good scripting skills in Python, Bash or similar
Nice to have:
  • Experience with service meshes, API gateways or sidecar patterns on Kubernetes
  • Exposure to GitOps (e.g. ArgoCD, Flux)
  • Familiarity with AWS security best practices & compliance frameworks
  • Background in high‑availability, high‑traffic environments

Contract: 3-month initial, very likely to extend to end 2026

Hybrid – ideally 2 days/week on‑site in Staines, West London
