Staffright are recruiting on behalf of a valued client within the food production sector, based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Production Manager to join a growing, purpose-driven business focused on delivering fresh, nutritious meals.
This is a full-time, site-based position where you will oversee daily food production operations and manage a team of approximately 15 staff.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and leading production teams to ensure efficiency and performance
- Planning and organising production schedules
- Maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations
- Driving continuous improvement and achieving KPIs
- Collaborating with internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality output
Requirements:
- 3-5 years supervisory/management experience within food or FMCG manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, and SALSA/BRCGS (or equivalent)
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Experience in production planning and operations management
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
- Relevant food safety/hygiene certifications (preferred)
- Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and KPI delivery
