We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our valued clients for experienced and compassionate Children's Support Workers to join a dedicated team supporting children and young people in a residential setting in Southend-on-Sea. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people. The role begins on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent.
The Role
- Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people.
- Promote independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Build positive, professional relationships with young people.
- Support with daily routines, education, appointments, and recreational activities.
- Encourage positive behaviour and follow individual care plans.
- Complete accurate records and reports.
- Work as part of a supportive and professional team.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people in a residential or supported living environment.
- A caring, resilient, and patient approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins where required.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable (or willingness to obtain one).
- Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
