We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing printing company in Basildon for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their busy warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on warehouse professional looking for a long-term career with a successful business. The role is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, giving you the chance to demonstrate your skills before securing a permanent position.
The Role:
- Responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
- Lead by example, motivate the warehouse team, and ensure daily operations run smoothly to meet production and customer deadlines.
- CB & REACH licence if possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and supporting the warehouse team
- Planning and organising daily warehouse activities
- Managing goods in and goods out
- Ensuring accurate stock control and inventory management
- Coordinating with production and logistics teams
- Maintaining high housekeeping and health & safety standards
- Training and supporting warehouse operatives
- Monitoring team performance and productivity
- Assisting with loading, unloading and general warehouse duties where required
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience within a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Good IT skills and experience using warehouse systems
- A proactive, reliable and hands-on approach
- Forklift licence beneficial but not essential
