Staffright are recruiting on behalf of a valued client within the food production sector, based in Basildon. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Food Production Manager to join a growing, purpose-driven business focused on delivering fresh, nutritious meals.

The Role

This is a full-time, site-based position where you will oversee daily food production operations and manage a team of approximately 15 staff.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and leading production teams to ensure efficiency and performance
  • Planning and organising production schedules
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality and safety
  • Ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations
  • Driving continuous improvement and achieving KPIs
  • Collaborating with internal teams to deliver consistent, high-quality output

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ supervisory/management experience within food or FMCG manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, and SALSA/BRCGS (or equivalent)
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Experience in production planning and operations management
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards
  • Relevant food safety/hygiene certifications (preferred)
  • Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and KPI delivery
