Join a large industrial client in Basildon as a hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operative in a physically demanding role with excellent career progression opportunities and the potential to move into a permanent position after the probation period.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 06:45 – 15:45
  • Friday: 06:45 – 11:45
  • Total: 39 paid hours per week

Pay & Benefits:

  • Starting salary: £13.00 per hour
  • Salary review after 3 months, with potential increase based on performance
  • Overtime available, including Saturdays and Sundays paid at time and a half
  • Early Friday finish for better work-life balance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading deliveries manually
  • Heavy lifting and moving stock throughout the warehouse
  • Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
  • Using pallet trucks and basic warehouse equipment
  • Keeping the warehouse clean, organised, and safe
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Supporting the wider warehouse and production team as required

Requirements:

  • Must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy manual lifting throughout the shift
  • Able to carry out hands-on, physically demanding work
  • Good English communication skills, including reading and understanding instructions
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Previous warehouse experience preferred but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
