Staffright Group are currently looking for a Qualified Electrician to join a well-established company on a permanent basis in the Suffolk area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, testing, inspection, and maintenance works across both domestic and commercial projects. This role involves working as part of a team, with the ability to work independently when required, ensuring all work is completed to current regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical installations on domestic and commercial projects, from small to large-scale works
- Test, inspect, and fault-find existing electrical systems
- Diagnose issues and implement effective, compliant solutions
- Complete all relevant on-site paperwork and certification
- Install heating control systems and home automation solutions
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in line with health & safety regulations
- Keep up to date with new technologies and industry developments
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the smooth running of sites
Requirements:
- City & Guilds 2382 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- City & Guilds 2394 & 2395 or equivalent inspection and testing qualifications
- Level 3 Electrical Installations Diploma
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation
- AM2 qualification
- Good knowledge of current electrical standards and regulations
Desirable (but not essential):
- City & Guilds 2391
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies
- First Aid at Work
- IPAF licence
- Experience with data networks and BEMS systems
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience working in domestic and/or commercial environments
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Flexible approach to work and deadlines
- Pride in workmanship and quality of work
Salary & Benefits:
- £39,000 - £42,000 per annum
- Company pension
