An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join a growing and innovative business operating within the speciality fluids sector. This role combines technical expertise with commercial sales ability and will focus on driving revenue growth, developing long-term customer relationships and identifying new market opportunities across industrial sectors including energy, infrastructure, rail, renewables and manufacturing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle from lead generation and business development through to technical solution selling, contract negotiation and account management. You will work closely with customers to understand operational challenges and recommend tailored fluid solutions whilst supporting strategic growth across the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities across key industrial sectors
  • Manage and maintain a strong sales pipeline using CRM systems
  • Conduct technical sales presentations, customer meetings and site visits
  • Provide technical guidance on speciality fluid applications and solutions
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and key accounts
  • Respond to customer enquiries, tenders and technical requests
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with operational, technical and R&D teams to support customer needs
  • Support forecasting, reporting and wider commercial activities
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven background within technical B2B sales
  • Experience within chemicals, speciality fluids or related industrial sectors preferred
  • Strong understanding of industrial fluid applications such as heat transfer, process, hydraulic or de-icing fluids would be advantageous
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Commercially driven with experience developing customer accounts and generating new business
  • Organised, self-motivated and comfortable managing a varied sales pipeline
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the UK
