We are part of the Staff Power Group, a recruitment and training company that supplies temporary and permanent staff across the north east and beyond. We operate under direct funding contracts in Greater London, South and West Yorkshire, and the north east. We have recently completed our OFSTED new provider monitoring visit and are looking to grow our quality and curriculum department to improve learner experience and strengthen relationships with employers.

The Role

  • Work in partnership with Employers to ensure the programs match industry requirements.
  • Deliver training programs in line with delivery plans, working closely with the Quality team to ensure high-end progressive learning.
  • Ensure paperwork is completed for all training programmes to the standards required by funding partners and awarding organisations.
  • Deliver training using company risk assessments and in a safe manner.
  • Teach using state-of-the-art technology and delivery methods.
  • From time to time assess employed learners via NVQ or apprenticeship and provide evidence of learner competence to awarding organisations.
  • Undertake other duties commensurate within the role.

Key Experience, Knowledge And Skills

  • Construction industry experience.
  • Good level of English and Maths skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational and written skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and other IT programs.
  • Administratively self-servicing.
  • Ability to manage more than one set of priorities.

Qualification and Training Required

  • English and Maths at Level 2 (assessment can be undertaken prior to interview).
  • Experience in construction with a Level 2 qualification.
  • PTLLS Level 3 or equivalent teaching and learning qualification, or willingness to work towards a formal teaching and learning qualification.
  • A formal assessing qualification, or willingness to work towards an assessing qualification.

Desirable

  • Health and Safety based qualification of IOSH or NEBOSH standards.
  • A1 Assessors Award or equivalent.
