Role Overview
Staffpower Group are seeking a proactive stores person to join our client’s dynamic team. This role involves engaging with customers, managing stock, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure smooth store and inventory functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent organisational skills, and a keen interest in retail and warehouse management. Previous experience with warehouse systems or materials handling is advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to develop a broad skill set within a fast‑paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock levels through stocking, picking & packing, and inventory replenishment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts to handle materials safely and efficiently.
- Support shipping & receiving processes, including loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment.
- Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately.
- Maintain organisation of stock areas, ensuring safety standards are adhered to at all times.
- Support materials handling tasks involving heavy lifting and manual labour in a safe manner.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in warehouse management system operation, or materials handling is preferred.
- Valid FLT Counterbalance License.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, including load & unload procedures.
- Experience with stock management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑oriented approach.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications / Certifications
- Valid FLT Certificate.
Shift Pattern
8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Thursday & 6:00 am – 2:30 pm Friday.
