Looking for more than another routine QC laboratory?

Perhaps you're spending your days carrying out the same tests on the same products, with little variety or opportunity to broaden your experience.

Or maybe you're looking for a business where Quality isn't just a support function—it sits at the heart of everything they manufacture.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established international manufacturer of specialist chemical products supplied into the aviation, industrial, infrastructure and energy sectors.

We're looking for an experienced Quality Control Chemist with a strong background in wet chemistry to join their technical laboratory.

The Opportunity

This isn't a pharmaceutical laboratory.

It isn't a contract testing laboratory.

It isn't repetitive production-line chemistry.

You'll join a specialist manufacturing business where you'll work alongside Technical, Production and R&D teams to ensure products consistently meet specification while supporting investigations, troubleshooting manufacturing issues and maintaining exceptional quality standards.

If you've got a strong QC background and understand wet chemistry, we'll teach you everything else.

Full training will be provided on the company's specialist equipment and testing methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Quality Control testing on raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.
  • Perform wet chemistry analysis.
  • Complete p H, refractive index and viscosity testing.
  • Maintain laboratory documentation and quality records.
  • Support Production and Technical teams with quality investigations.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the laboratory.
  • We're Looking For
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline.
  • Previous Quality Control laboratory experience.
  • Strong practical wet chemistry experience.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
  • Ideal Industry Background
  • Chemical Manufacturing, Industrial Chemicals, Coatings, Paints, Resins, Polymers, Lubricants, Adhesives, Surface Treatments, Water Treatment, Process Chemicals or Speciality Chemicals.

Why Apply?

  • Monday to Friday working pattern.
  • Full training on specialist laboratory equipment.
  • Work alongside experienced Technical, Manufacturing and R&D teams.
  • Long-term career development within a growing international manufacturer.
  • Varied laboratory work supporting innovative specialist chemical products.
