Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Vehicle Prepper to join our busy bodyshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting and refurbishment to ensure a high-quality finish. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work and health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles and panels for painting.
- Sand, fill, and prime surfaces to a high standard.
- Mask vehicles and components prior to paint application.
- Carry out minor repairs and rectify imperfections.
- Remove and refit trims and components as required.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with painters, panel beaters, and other members of the bodyshop team.
- Meet productivity targets while maintaining standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Prepper or within an automotive bodyshop environment.
- Knowledge of preparation techniques, sanding, filling, and masking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and quality standards.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Full UK driving licence.
