Full-time | Staffordshire Women's Aid
Every year, Staffordshire Women's Aid helps hundreds of women and children move from crisis to safety. This role sits right at the centre of how we do that, and how we grow to do more of it.
We're looking for a Children and Young Person’s Refuge Support Worker to work as part of the Staffordshire Women’s Aid Safe Accommodation Team in both ForWard House and our dispersed properties, providing child-centred, trauma-informed support, information, advice, advocacy and guidance to women and their children who are living in, or moving on from, our refuge provision.
This role requires an energetic, creative and engaging approach, balanced with compassion, empathy and understanding. A key aspect of the role is ensuring that children and young people have a voice, are listened to, and are empowered to share their experiences, feelings and views in a child centred, safe and supported environment.

- 37 hours per week, full time
- A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential
- Subject to DBS check (and possibly additional security checks for some settings)

Benefits
Holiday: 28 days' holiday per year, plus statutory holidays
Pension: SWA contributes 3% of annual salary, subject to staff contribution under auto-enrolment
Overtime/TOIL: Overtime is unpaid; time off in lieu is taken in consultation with your line manager
