Overview: This role will work with apprentice learners at the University to monitor and assess progress at prescribed intervals, providing the critical linkage between the academic school and the employer partner. It involves ongoing observation and recording of progress in the domains of knowledge, skills and behaviours as per work-based education standards for the programme, achieved through face-to-face meetings on or off campus or through remote means.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake workplace reviews, tripartite meetings and other monitoring and compliance meetings with learners on apprenticeship programmes in line with the prescribed schedule, ensuring that the required documentation is wholly complete and accurate in order to meet quality assurance standards.
  • Support learners to progress in the domains of skills, knowledge and behaviour through providing insight from a range of sources including review meetings, competence assessments and other sources of intelligence and to provide insight and advice regarding the learners' continuous professional development.
  • Monitor learners' progress towards timely achievement and successful progression, escalating concerns through the provision of reports detailing individual student performance.
  • Accurately record off-the-job hours in keeping with the expectation of apprenticeship standards.
  • Complete all required reports, summaries and quality assurance documentation in line with the requirements of the apprenticeship standards, quality assurance bodies and University policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Participate in the promotion of work-based education programmes within the University including, where required, recruitment events inside and outside of the University.
