This role provides expert support for the Oracle Fusion Finance system, including all system administration tasks such as user management, access control and maintaining authorisation structures. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining interfaces between Oracle Fusion and other University systems (e.g., SITS, Proactis), processing interface files and troubleshooting system issues. The role involves designing and implementing process improvements within Financial Services, exploring new technologies to enhance efficiency and developing complex financial reports using SQL. Additionally, the role supports the Systems Accountant with Oracle Fusion developments and tests new functionalities to improve system effectiveness. The University offers a remote working policy which provides the opportunity for flexible working on campus and remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all system administration for the Oracle Fusion system (e.g., setting up new users, removing leavers, system access, adding new activity/account codes, maintaining authorisation structures, monitoring Fusion email inbox and answering user queries).
  • Maintain, develop and improve all Oracle Fusion interfaces to other systems within the University including SITS, Proactis, Secure Trading and the University Online Shop. Investigate and solve interface failures which could involve a simple change or a development of the interfaces.
  • Process and monitor all customer invoices, SLC remittances, purchase orders and payment files through various interfaces.
  • Maintain and develop all modules within Oracle Fusion, using enhanced technical knowledge and intuition for troubleshooting and independent problem solving; often resolving serious, unprecedented issues in a timely fashion.
  • Support the Systems Accountant with any Oracle Fusion developments as required.
  • Research, identify and test new functionality and software within Oracle Fusion suite, offering examples as to where the new functionality can be used.
  • Develop and deliver financial reports for a range of customers using Oracle reporting functionality including use of complex SQL programming skills to produce reports for all areas of Oracle Fusion.
