The University of Staffordshire is looking for a dedicated and proactive Campus Security Supervisor to join our Security team on a night shift basis (4 on, 4 off). This is a dynamic leadership role suited to someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates confident decision-making, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service. This is not a traditional security role - you'll play a vital part in creating a safe, welcoming and responsive environment for students, staff and visitors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operational and HR management of a team of Night Security Officers, which may occasionally include contract security. This includes sickness and absence management, rota management and disciplinary processes.
  • Incident management and escalation as the senior manager on site.
  • Ensuring SOP's and organisational policies are abided by, implementing formal processes as required.
  • Implementation of operational and cultural change as required.
  • Working within a wider management team structure.
  • Undertake ongoing training as required for the role and the wider university.
  • First aid response, fire alarm activation response, panic alarm response.
  • Significant use of systems including CCTV, access control, fire systems and incident reporting.

Working Pattern

  • Night shifts on a 4 on/4 off rotation.
  • Shifts are 10-12 hours.
  • Mandatory 6-8 week induction period on day shifts.
