This is an exciting opportunity to join the Resources and Library Systems Team as a Library Advisor. The team plays an essential role in shaping the experience of students and staff at the University of Staffordshire, provides technical and admin support for library systems and delivers high quality access to our resources.

This is a vital position supporting the development, maintenance, and enhancement of library systems at the University. This position focuses on ensuring operational effectiveness within library learning spaces and promoting student success through effective information and guidance.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Library Systems Maintenance
    • Assist in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of library systems.
  2. Collaboration with other stakeholders
    • Work closely with the Skills Team and relevant stakeholders to optimise the utilisation of the learning resource budget.
  3. Library Learning Spaces Management
    • Contribute to the daily operations of library learning spaces, ensuring timely access to required resources for all users.
  4. Inclusivity and Accessibility
    • Ensure that all library services are accessible to a diverse user base.
  5. Collection Management
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on budget analysis.
  6. Administration of License Agreements
    • Assist in the administration of learning resource license agreements to ensure compliance and optimal resource usage.
