An exciting opportunity has arisen for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join the Estates Team as a Technical Assistant. This role works closely with two other Technical Assistants in providing an effective and efficient Technician based facilities management service across all premises within the Staffordshire Commissioners portfolio.

The role holder will undertake minor building repair work, meet and manage contractors delivering works, undertake water hygiene testing as well as other related planned maintenance activities. You will be expected to work a shift pattern currently 1 week of 6:30am to 2:30pm, 2 weeks of 7:30am to 3:30pm and 1 week of 11:30am to 7:30pm. Additionally, you will be expected to be part of the on-call rota, providing 24/7 call out to Estates related matters 1 week in 4. There are additional payments made for shift working and being on call, which is in addition to the base salary of this role.

In order to undertake this role, you will have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage your own workload as well as being customer service focused. The role will require training to be undertaken in regards to Water hygiene, PAT testing and H&S.
