About The Opportunity
We have 1 opening for the Justice Services Support Unit Evidence Processor / Typist. The role requires use of a QWERTY keyboard or voice recognition software to process statements of evidence and prepare summaries of interviews, all of which form part of prosecution files, and ensure compliance with legal and Force Policy guidelines in respect of interview transcripts. Both audio and copy typing skills are essential for the role, with a typing speed of at least 40 wpm and accuracy over 80%. The post holder will also be responsible for the secure storage, retention and retrieval of all audio and visual media, i.e. tapes, DVDs etc. The successful candidates through to interview will be required to complete an Audio and Copy Typing test achieving minimum speed of 40 wpm and minimum accuracy of 80% in both audio and copy typing.
