Grade G FINANCIAL INVESTIGATOR – Fixed Term – 2 Years

Location – Travelling between Staffordshire Police Headquarters, Stoke On Trent and Burton Upon Trent.

About The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the Economic Crime Unit (ECU) as a Financial Investigator. The Financial Investigators are key to Staffordshire Police use of Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) in all Financial Investigations and asset recovery. The post holder will be working in a small department that is integral to coordinating and investigating Financial enquiries and investigations for the Whole of Staffordshire. This is a unique area of business within the Force that supports the recovery of Financial assets from criminals. It is an incredibly busy area of business that requires an ability to work alongside tight deadlines set by the court and ensure prioritisation of own workload.

Responsibilities

  • Confiscation of finances
  • Investigations of illicit funds
  • Cash Seizures and Restraints
  • Supporting criminal investigations with financial enquiries
  • Presenting evidence at court
