Commercial Services is an integral part of the Enabling Services Directorate at Staffordshire Police, and their purpose is to ensure our operational colleagues are supported with the correct tools to be able to deliver their critical jobs. The Commercial Services department currently consists of a team of staff working across Procurement, Purchasing, Insurance and Sustainability.
There is currently an exciting new role within our Commercial Services Team, as a Procurement Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will work within a shared services Procurement Team who are responsible for delivery to Staffordshire Police, Staffordshire Fire & Rescue and the Staffordshire Commissioner's Office. Alongside ten other Procurement and Commercial specialists, you will be supported in working towards your procurement qualifications whilst also having time to practice the theory within the procurement department.
You will be regarded as a trusted commercial expert offering your learnings from your studies in the procurement activity you will undertake. You'll work closely with colleagues at all levels, and ensure that value for money is achieved, but also keep the organisation compliant with all contractual work against public sector procurement legislation.
In return, you will work with a supportive and energetic team who will offer shared knowledge and peer support, demonstrating fantastic teamwork! You will report to one of our Procurement Managers or Senior Procurement Officer, who will support and guide you to ensure you are at your most able to deliver the full role and get the support required whilst studying in your apprenticeship.

Pension Scheme – Employers Pension contribution 21.5% Staffordshire Pension Fund. Please note that applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified/experienced individuals.
