The Public Protection Unit (PPU) safeguards vulnerable children and supports serious investigations within Staffordshire Police. The Online Child Sexual Abuse (POLIT) team is a specialist component that protects children from online harm.
Role Responsibilities
- You will work as part of a small, dedicated team, providing essential administrative, intelligence, and case‑management support.
- Your duties include reviewing and triaging incoming referrals, completing system checks, managing communications, assisting with risk assessments, and liaising with partner agencies and other police forces.
- You will use a range of IT systems, including Microsoft Office applications, to ensure accurate records are maintained and information is shared appropriately.
- The role involves exposure to sensitive material and will be fully supported by experienced colleagues and welfare support.
- You will report to a Detective Inspector and work closely with officers and staff across public protection and partner organisations.
