Financial Technician
High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council share a workforce delivering services to two distinct areas with their own priorities and financial reporting.
Salary: AG2 (range £25,583 – £27,254 pa)

Work location: Predominantly the Buxton office as well as Agile working and the Leek office, in line with business need
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Finance team at High Peak Borough Council (HPBC) and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC) as a Financial Technician. This is a full-time permanent position which will primarily work in the Finance Housing Rents team for HPBC. In addition, there will be responsibilities for both HPBC and SMDC on Utilities payments, Purchase Card transactions, Council Tax and Business Rates reconciliations and support on sundry debtor income.
A Financial Technician role can be the first step in a career in local authority finance, being part of a team which supports the wide range of services delivered by the Councils. The Councils support learning and development as part of the appraisal and development review.
