Are you passionate about making a real difference in communities and empowering tenants to shape their neighbourhoods? We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic individual to lead on reviewing and embedding a new Tenant Engagement Strategy to ensure tenants' voices are heard and their views are at the heart of decision making.

Responsibilities

  • To develop and embed our Tenant Engagement Strategy, implementing a range of methods for engagement and influence that are multi-channel, accessible and effective in reaching a wide tenant-base with varying levels of digital skills and contact preferences.
  • Develop and Deliver Engagement Activities: Plan and implement a range of engagement initiatives, including surveys, focus groups, and community events, to gather tenant feedback and promote involvement.
  • To lead on the recruitment of tenants to the Tenant Engagement Group to support the delivery of the Tenant Engagement Strategy.
  • Facilitate Tenant Engagement Group Meetings: Organise, lead, and support regular meetings with the Tenant Engagement Group, ensuring inclusive participation and follow-through on agreed actions.
  • To ensure the Council complies with the regulatory requirements under the Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard set by the Regulator of Social Housing.
  • To be a Champion for Tenant Engagement across all service areas.

Qualifications

A knowledge of housing related issues is essential for this role. To succeed in this role you will need an outgoing personality, ability to work on your own initiative and to positively engage with tenants and stakeholders.
