Join the ERP Programme Team on an exciting transformational journey. We are inviting expressions of interest from experienced and enthusiastic experts to play a pivotal role in the implementation plan for our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution. This is a unique opportunity to shape a joined‑up Finance, HR and Payroll system that helps ensure the tools we use every day truly work for us and end‑users across the authority. It’s also a chance to develop your strategic thinking and experience of change management within a supportive project team. We are recruiting to this vacancy on a fixed‑term contract until the end of September 2027 and are looking for individuals who can bring their knowledge and experience of ICT and take the lead on the ICT workstream for the programme.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the ICT workstream and be the main contact for all ICT matters on the programme.
- Ensure the system configuration reflects the needs of the business and creates an improved end‑user experience.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure their voice shapes the system design.
- Attend and contribute to workshops, testing, documentation reviews and system sign‑off.
- Work with the testing manager to develop test plans and help resolve issues or defects.
- Support the creation and delivery of quality training and guidance for all users.
- Lead planning and readiness for go‑live including processes, data and training.
- Act as lead and the key communication link between the project and the subject‑matter experts in your area of expertise, creating strong links with internal ICT colleagues and ensuring that all ICT needs are met for the programme.
The Ideal Candidate
- Have a sound knowledge, skills and experience in ICT.
- Have a sound understanding of policies and procedures in your area of expertise.
- Have the ability to translate these into system and process improvements.
- Have confidence in communication with the ability to engage and motivate staff across services.
- Be organised, motivated and calm under pressure.
- Be interested in systems and change.
- Previous experience of system change would be useful but is not essential.
