We have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their data skills to support the over‑arching aims of our service area. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and conscientious person to work as an Apprentice Data Technician within our Planning and Performance Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Careers and Participation Service with the use of the NCCIS compliant database to ensure accurate recording.
  • Checking and processing a range of data from various sources and uploading onto various databases.
  • Supporting in the production of reports.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You’ll need Maths and English GCSE Grade A‑C / 9‑4 (or equivalent).
  • Must not hold an existing qualification at level 3 (or higher) in a similar subject to the apprenticeship qualification.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience and confidence of using a range of ICT software programs including Excel.
  • A can‑do and flexible approach as sometimes things can change, and so you’ll need to be able to prioritise work and manage your time.
  • To be able to work with a high degree of attention to detail.

As we will develop a guided learning path for you, working with our accredited training provider, QA. We will support you to follow an approved apprenticeship standard in ICT at Level 3 (Data Essentials Apprenticeship | Data Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship).
