Are you interested in a full-time Technical Support Officer role in Road Adoptions? We currently have openings. We are a busy service dealing with various enquiries, highway applications, highway improvement schemes, and flood risk management projects. Staffordshire County Council is looking to recruit a Technical Support Officer to work on the client side, helping to deliver the Council's strategic outcomes. You will work in the Technical Support Team, primarily providing a variety of admin and technical support to the Road Adoptions team within Sustainable Development.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage Financial and Administrative Processes: Handle financial and administrative tasks related to new developments affecting public highways, including planning applications and developer payments.
- Administer Legal Agreements: Oversee the Advanced Payments Code and Section 38 Agreements from initiation to adoption, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and securing necessary audits and maintenance sums.
- Coordinate Planning and Works Submissions: Process and record planning applications and works packs, ensuring accurate distribution and commissioning to service providers.
- Liaise with Key Stakeholders: Work closely with Legal Services, Local Planning Authorities, Finance, and internal officers to manage Section Agreements and ensure obligations are met.
- Provide Technical and Clerical Support: Support professional staff with clerical and technical tasks, maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, and contribute to the development of efficient working methods.
- Ensure Compliance and Continuous Improvement: Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations, uphold equality policies, and commit to ongoing professional development and training.
The Ideal Candidate
