The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

We have 4 Children’s Disability teams across the county, providing specialist services for children and young people with complex disabilities. These small teams of highly dedicated Social Workers support children and families to reach the best outcomes in a timely manner, enabling them to live their lives to the full. We are also supported by a team of skilled Family Practitioners who assist in facilitating behaviour management work and undertaking direct work.

Our Social Workers make a huge difference to the lives of people across our County. Main Responsibilities
  • Based within a small team of between seven and eight social workers.
  • Holding and managing a workload of children and young people and prioritising all work.
  • Undertaking direct work with children, their families, and their carers, providing high support and high challenge, aiming to support families to find solutions to their own challenges.
  • Providing high quality and timely assessments and reports in the agreed format for Court’s, Child Protection Case Conferences, Statutory Reviews, and any other forum.
  • Maintaining client records.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Be a Qualified Social Worker with post qualification experience working directly with children and families and be committed to supporting children to remain with their families.
  • Be registered with Social Work England.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
  • Be a team player.
  • Have the ability to engage and communicate with disabled children and be committed to ensuring the children on your case load receive the best quality service.

Above all, you’ll bring the desire to work with children and families to give them the right support, at the right time, with the aim of keeping families together where it’s safe to do so.
