We are seeking to appoint on a fixed term basis, a qualified People Operations Adviser (Generalist HR) to support the business, providing advice and support to managers at all levels across the full range of County Council services on change management, organisational development activity, complex employee relations issues and advice and guidance. You will work across all areas within the County Council with a flexible approach across the team to respond to changing demand.

Adopting a triage approach to all employment relations issues to ensure they are resolved at the earliest opportunity.

Providing advice, support and challenge on a wide range of complex Employment Relations activity.

Developing strong and effective working relationships with colleagues from across people services and the wider organisation to share knowledge and information to ensure the delivery of an excellent service to our customers.

Essential Criteria
  • Experience of working in HR within a large, complex and unionised organisation.
  • Experience of advising managers at all levels on complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience of successfully delivering and supporting change management projects including TUPE, redundancy, workforce design and organisational development.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade on complex matters, confidential and sensitive issues.
  • CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent qualification/experience.
